WE HELP CHILDREN IN UKRAINE

Iurii Grushovenco - the military chaplain of Ukraine and the pastor of CHRISTIAN CHURCH NEW LIFE in Brooklyn
Project Concept
The project "Help Children in Ukraine" was created by the Senior Pastor of the Christian Church New Life in Brooklyn, Iurii Grushovenko, to help children in Ukraine to recover from the stress and any psychological influence of the war through playing rehabilitation with clown Yurko (this funny name pastor Iurii received in Ukraine before his first trip and now he is known in many cities in Ukraine). But the pastor's vision was much bigger than this from the very beginning.
The project includes several fields of activities to help both children to smile again and the Armed Forces of Ukraine to conquer in this war. This includes psychological help, supplies, presents and financial support for children and their families, physical help to the Army of Ukraine with "cargo 200", pastoral care and funeral. With this aim pastor Iurii became an official military chaplain in Ukraine.
By this time pastor Iurii has made 3 trips to Ukraine and brought love and smiles back to the faces of thousands and thousands of children in Ukraine. And he is getting ready for the next trip.

Preparation for upcoming trips
We are committed to raise awareness among people in New York that they can influence the lives of children in Ukraine by making their contribution to our project. So we present the idea of the project at all sorts of festivals and exhibitions to raise funds for the upcoming trip.
The next trips are planned during this year and we want to prepare well for it. We need to raise funds for the following goals:
- buy Christmas presents for children in Ukraine and bring them
- buy stoves, power generators, warm clothes and blankets to help people come through the winter and blackout period
- continue playing rehabilitation and organizing camps and clubs for children (including purchasing land for these camps)
- buy 2 vans (one for taking orphaned children from the war zones to safe places and the other one to transport the “cargo 200” with a refrigerator)
We dream to reach out to as many children in Ukraine as we can and bring back love, peace and joy to their meaningful lives.

WE HELP CHILDREN IN AFRICA
Since 2015 we have been sponsoring two big projects in Kisumu, Kenya: Christian School "Year for God" and a Sport Club for soccer and taekwondo for the children from vulnerable families.
“Year for God” Project is about young people from different regions of Kenya who decided to dedicate a year of their lives to God. The purpose of the project is to help them grow in their faith and to equip each participant for ministry in their local churches.
The taekwondo section for kids and teens and a soccer team for youth is a great way to get young people off the streets of the slums and give them a good alternative for leisure and development, as well as build good habits and principles of success in children. Each month, about 30 teenagers and young adults attend the soccer section.
In total we had an opportunity to influence and change the lives of 1000 children in Kisumu. We believe it to be the greatest contribution not only to their future but also to the society’s life in Kenia.
